Basically, all dust extraction systems have the task of thoroughly and carefully extracting the fine/filing dust generated in the nail salon.

Which Nova Flair dust extraction system is best suited depends in particular on your individual customer volume.

If the budget allows, the "Hurricane 2 GreenTech" is generally always recommended, because the two motors result in a significantly lower noise level in relation to the high suction power.

If you are working with acrylic and therefore using a synthetic odor filter mat on your filter , we recommend the more powerful models for approximately 5 customers and above. These are more powerful and quieter, so they work even more efficiently and quietly when using an odor filter mat.

The following rule of thumb can be helpful when choosing a dust extraction system:

To ensure a proper fit, you can find the dimensions in the product description of the respective dust extractor and compare them to your nail table.

Important:
The tabletop must not be hollow inside, otherwise air can be drawn into the cavity and the screws won't hold. We are particularly familiar with this problem from IKEA tabletops. We therefore recommend using a solid wood tabletop.

1. Unplug the power cord
2. Loosen the black knurled screws on the front and remove the front panel.
3. Pull out the filter and the dust collection tray underneath simultaneously.
4. Carefully vacuum the dust side of the filter between the lamellae using a crevice tool attachment.
5. Clean the dust collection tray and disinfect it with an alcohol-free solution if necessary.
6. Insert the dust tray and filter the right way round (refer to the label on the filter).
7. Screw the front panel back on securely.

The dust extractor has a QR code located on either the left or right side of the unit. Scan the QR code to access technical data, operating instructions, warranty and repair information, and videos.

Please note that, according to our safety instructions, no modifications may be made to the devices, as this will void the warranty. Repairs may only be carried out by us or, with our approval, by an authorized specialist. Work performed by external service providers must always be documented.

Important NOTE:
A broken potentiometer shaft is not covered under warranty. This damage typically occurs due to improper handling, such as snagging it on clothing or accidental impacts with a knee or leg. A metal potentiometer shaft should not break during normal use, such as turning the control knob.

Cleaning at the following intervals is strongly recommended:

Daily volume:

2-3 customers (few) ~ 1x weekly

4-7 customers (normal) ~ 1-2 times a week

7+ customers (Many) ~ 2x weekly

As the filter capacity becomes increasingly depleted, air resistance increases, making your dust extractor louder. This indicates that the filters need cleaning.

Regular replacement with genuine Nova Flair products maintains the 15-year warranty. Your dust extractor will reward you with maximum filtration and performance.

A filter change at the following intervals is strongly recommended:

The black synthetic activated carbon filter mat (odor filter mat) is attached to the filter and serves to absorb and neutralize unpleasant and strong odors. In addition to its odor-neutralizing effect, it also helps prevent potential allergic reactions.

Therefore, if you are working with acrylics, liquids, adhesives or gels, we strongly recommend using the synthetic odor filter mat.
