The rescue for nail design: touch up and repair nails
Whether artificial or natural nails, cracked fingernails are particularly annoying, as they significantly impair the outward appearance and compromise the nail design. This is not uncommon with brittle natural nails without nail reinforcement. However, even artificial nails cannot withstand all stresses. Fiberglass technology is ideal for nail repairs, but also for other purposes beyond fingernail repairs: The fiberglass strips in combination with emmi®NAIL Resin strengthen and lengthen natural nails in no time. In addition to nail repairs, fiberglass is ideal forNatural nail reinforcementsuitable.
Advantages of nail repair with fiberglass
A pack of fiberglass is approximately 90 cm long and can be cut to size for nail repairs. During the repair, a very thin layer is simply applied to the nail—even on long fingernails. Unlike other methods, you don't even need to apply additional tips.
Nail repair with fiberglass technology: How to proceed
With fiberglass you can quickly make small repairs to your fingernails:
- After preparing the nail, apply a layer of resin to the nail.
- Cut a piece of fiberglass to the appropriate size.
- Apply the strip to the nail, making sure it stays at least 1 mm away from the cuticle at all points.
- Soak the fabric with the emmi®NAIL Resin until it is no longer visible.
- Allow the layer to harden for about two minutes.
- Repeat the previous steps and apply another three to five thin layers of resin to the nail.
- Smooth and polish the nail.
- For a shiny finish, seal the nail with an emmi®NAIL sealing gel or a top sealer, cure the nail under the UV lamp – done.
