Basically, all dust extraction systems have the task of thoroughly and carefully extracting the fine dust/filing dust that arises in the nail salon.

The models differ primarily in their respective performance. The number in the name of the dust extractor also indicates whether it has one or two motors. Thus, the "Taifun I Premium GreenTech" has one motor, while the "Taifun II Premium GreenTech" has two. The key advantage of two motors is that the noise level is significantly lower relative to the high suction power.

Which Nova Flair dust extraction system is most suitable depends in particular on your individual customer volume.

If your budget allows, we always recommend the “Taifun 2 Premium GreenTech” because the two motors mean the noise level is significantly lower in relation to the high suction power.

If you're working with acrylic and therefore using a synthetic odor filter mat on your filter , we recommend the more powerful units for approximately five or more customers. These are more powerful and quieter, so they work even more efficiently and quietly when used with an odor filter mat.

The following rule of thumb can be helpful when selecting a dust extraction system:

To ensure the fit is accurate, you can find the dimensions in the product description of the respective dust extractor and compare them with your nail table.

Important:
The tabletop must not be hollow inside, as otherwise the air drawn in can be drawn into the hollow space and the screws will not hold. We are particularly familiar with this problem with IKEA tabletops. We therefore recommend using a solid wood tabletop.

1. Unplug
2. Loosen the black knurled screws on the front and remove the front panel
3. Pull out the filter and the dust collection tray underneath at the same time
4. Carefully vacuum the dust side of the filter between the slats using a crevice nozzle attachment
5. Clean the dust collection tray and, if necessary, disinfect it with an alcohol-free solution
6. Insert the dust collection tray and filter correctly (see label on the filter)
7. Screw the front panel back on tightly

Please note that, according to our safety instructions, no modifications to the devices may be made, as doing so will void the warranty. Repairs may only be performed by us or, with our approval, by an authorized specialist. Work performed by external service providers must always be documented.

Important NOTE:
A broken potentiometer spindle is not covered by the warranty. This damage typically occurs due to improper handling, such as catching it on clothing or accidentally hitting it with a knee or leg. A metal potentiometer spindle cannot break during normal use, such as turning the knob.

Cleaning is strongly recommended at the following intervals:

Volume per day:

2-3 customers (few) ~ 1x weekly

4-7 customers (normal) ~ 1-2 times a week

7+ customers (a lot) ~ 2x weekly

As the filter capacity is increasingly used up, air resistance increases, causing your dust extraction system to become louder. This is an indication that the filters need to be cleaned.

Regularly replacing your dust extractor with original Nova Flair products will maintain your 15-year warranty. Your dust extractor will thank you with maximum filtration and performance.

Changing the filter at the following intervals is strongly recommended:

The black synthetic activated carbon filter mat (odor filter mat) is attached to the filter and serves to absorb and neutralize unpleasant and intense odors. In addition to its odor-neutralizing effect, it also prevents possible allergic reactions.

So if you work with acrylic, liquids, adhesives or even gels, we strongly recommend using the synthetic odor filter mat.
