Basically, all dust extractors have the task of thoroughly and carefully extracting fine dust and filing dust generated in the nail salon.

The models differ mainly in the performance of the respective device. The number in the name of the dust extractors also indicates whether they have one or two motors. Thus, the "Taifun I Premium GreenTech" has one motor, while the "Taifun II Premium GreenTech" has two motors installed. The decisive advantage of two motors is that the noise level, in relation to the high suction power, is significantly lower.

Which Nova Flair dust extractor is best suited depends in particular on your individual customer traffic.

If the budget allows, the "Taifun 2 Premium GreenTech" is always recommended, because the noise level is significantly lower in relation to the high suction power due to the two motors.

If you work with acrylic and therefore use a synthetic odor filter mat on your filter, then we recommend the more powerful devices for approx. 5 customers or more. These are more powerful and quieter, so they work even more efficiently and quietly when using an odor filter mat.

The following rule of thumb can be helpful when choosing a dust extractor:

To ensure perfect fit, you can take the dimensions from the product description of the respective dust extractor and compare them with your nail table.

Important:
The tabletop must not be "hollow" inside, otherwise the sucked air can enter the hollow space of the tabletop and the screws will not hold. We particularly know this problem from IKEA tabletops. We therefore recommend using a solid wood board.

1. Unplug the power cord
2. Loosen the black knurled screws on the front and remove the front panel
3. Pull out the filter and the dust collection tray underneath simultaneously
4. Carefully vacuum the dust side of the filter between the lamellae with a crevice nozzle attachment
5. Clean the dust collection tray and disinfect it with an alcohol-free solution if necessary
6. Insert the dust collection tray and filter in the correct direction (observe the label on the filter)
7. Screw the front panel back on tightly

If there is a QR code on the side of your dust extractor, you can scan it to find the operating instructions and many other documents in various languages.

Please note that according to our safety instructions, no changes may be made to the devices, as this will void the warranty. Repairs may only be carried out by us or by an authorized specialist after our approval. Work by external service providers must always be documented.

Important note:
The breakage of the potentiometer shaft does not constitute a warranty case. This damage typically occurs due to improper handling, such as getting caught on clothing or accidental bumps with the knee or leg. A metallic potentiometer shaft cannot break during normal use, such as turning the control knob.

Cleaning is strongly recommended at the following intervals:

Daily customer volume:

2-3 customers (low) ~ once a week

4-7 customers (normal) ~ 1-2 times a week

7+ customers (high) ~ twice a week

As the filter capacity is increasingly used up, the air resistance increases, which makes your dust extractor louder. This is an indication that the filters need to be cleaned.

Regular replacement with original Nova Flair products maintains the 15-year warranty. Your dust extractor will thank you with maximum filter and performance capabilities.

A filter change at the following intervals is strongly recommended:

The black synthetic activated carbon filter mat (odor filter mat) is attached to the filter and serves to absorb and neutralize unpleasant and intense odors. In addition to its odor-neutralizing effect, it also prevents possible allergic reactions.

Therefore, if you work with acrylics, liquids, adhesives, or gels, we strongly recommend using the synthetic odor filter mat.

You only need the white filter fleece mats if you have a Taifun dust extractor built between 2009 and 2012. All newer devices no longer require them.
