Fit of the mask

Press the nose clip firmly against your nose to ensure a tight fit. Check the mask's tight fit by performing a breath test. The mask should be noticeably sucked against your face when inhaling.

If air is entering the mask around the nose, adjust the fit using the nose clip. If the mask feels too loose, twist each ear strap 180° in a figure-eight shape.

The mask should be changed as soon as...

...the mask is no longer tight, e.g. due to a hole, or if it no longer fits tightly after prolonged use.

...the air resistance increases noticeably when the mask is wet, for example due to contamination.

Possible problems

It is unlikely that the leakage requirements will be met if facial hair is located between the mask's seal and the face. The mask provides protection against particles but no protection against gaseous substances.

Ensure adequate air quality with regard to (gaseous) impurities and oxygen content; do not use in potentially explosive atmospheres.

If the mask is damaged, please discontinue use. If the mask does not fit tightly (see Mask Fit), adequate protection cannot be guaranteed. Only put on the mask with clean hands to avoid contamination. The mask does not protect against dolomite dust.

Duration of use

The mask is designed for use during one work shift (approximately 8 hours) under normal conditions. The mask is suitable for single use only.

Putting on and taking off the mask

• Open the mask with the nose clip at the top and place it over your mouth and nose.
• The edge of the nose clip should align with the bridge of your nose. Align the mask and press the nose clip against the bridge of your nose.
• Place the ear straps over your ears on both sides.
• Check the tightness of the mask.
• To remove the mask, slide the ear straps forward over your ears. The outside of the mask may be contaminated with aerosol. Avoid contact.
