Basically, all dust extractors have the task of thoroughly and carefully extracting the fine/filing dust generated in the nail studio.

The models differ mainly in the performance of the respective device. The number in the name of the dust extractors also indicates whether they have one or two motors. Thus, the "Taifun I Premium GreenTech" has one motor, while the "Taifun II Premium GreenTech" has two motors. The decisive advantage of two motors is that the noise level, in relation to the high suction power, is significantly lower.

Which Nova Flair dust extractor is best suited depends particularly on your individual customer volume.

If the budget allows, the "Taifun 2 Premium GreenTech" is generally always recommended, because with two motors, the noise level is significantly lower in relation to the high suction power.

If you work with acrylic and therefore use a synthetic odor filter mat on your filter, then we recommend the more powerful devices from approx. 5 customers. These are more powerful and quieter, so they work even more efficiently and quietly when using an odor filter mat.

The following rule of thumb can be helpful when choosing a dust extractor:

To reliably determine suitability, you can take the dimensions from the product description of the respective dust extractor and compare them with your nail table.

Important:
The tabletop must not be "hollow" on the inside, otherwise the sucked air could be drawn into the hollow space of the tabletop and the screws would not hold. We are particularly familiar with this problem from IKEA tabletops. We therefore recommend using a solid wood panel.

1. Unplug the power cord
2. Loosen the black knurled screws on the front and remove the front panel
3. Pull out the filter and the dust collection tray underneath simultaneously
4. Carefully vacuum the dust side of the filter between the lamellae with a crevice nozzle attachment
5. Clean the dust collection tray and, if necessary, disinfect it with an alcohol-free solution
6. Insert the dust collection tray and filter correctly (note the label on the filter)
7. Screw the front panel back on tightly

The video instructions for cleaning your dust extractor can be found as a QR code on the side of the device for all dust extractors from 2023.

If there is a QR code on the side of your dust extractor, you can scan it to find the operating instructions and many other documents in various languages.

Please note that according to our safety instructions, no modifications may be made to the devices, as this will void the warranty. Repairs may only be carried out by us or by an authorized specialist after our approval. Work carried out by external service providers must always be documented.

Important note:
The breakage of the potentiometer shaft does not constitute a warranty claim. This damage usually occurs due to improper handling, such as snagging on clothing or accidental bumps with the knee or leg. A metal potentiometer shaft cannot break with normal use, such as turning the knob.

Cleaning at the following intervals is strongly recommended:

Volume per day:

2-3 customers (low) ~ 1x weekly

4-7 customers (normal) ~ 1-2x weekly

7+ customers (high) ~ 2x weekly

As the filter capacity is increasingly exhausted, air resistance increases, making your dust extractor louder. This is an indication that the filters need to be cleaned.

Regular replacement with original Nova Flair products maintains the 15-year warranty. Your dust extractor will thank you with maximum filtering and performance capacity.

A filter change at the following intervals is strongly recommended:

The black synthetic activated carbon filter mat (odor filter mat) is attached to the filter and serves to absorb and neutralize unpleasant and intense odors. In addition to its odor-neutralizing effect, it also prevents possible allergic reactions.

So, if you work with acrylic, liquids, adhesives, or even gels, we strongly recommend using the synthetic odor filter mat.

You only need the white non-woven filter mats if you have a Taifun dust extractor built between 2009 and 2012. All newer devices no longer require them.
