How do you apply color gel?

The medium-viscosity emmi®NAIL color gel is easy to apply , offers excellent coverage , and unique color brilliance. But what's the best way to apply the nail color? We recommend our full-cover brush made of high-quality real hair. It's easy to clean and ensures a streak-free full-coverage nail design.

You'll find the most important tips and tricks in our clear, step-by-step instructions. Most importantly, make sure you're not exposed to sunlight while applying the product.

Step 1:

Prepare your natural nail as usual.

Push back your cuticles with a rosewood stick or metal spatula and remove the excess cuticles with cuticle scissors or cuticle nippers .

Remove all lifts from your old nail polish, i.e., any areas where the gel has come off the nail. File your free end into shape, then mattify the nail with a buffer .

From now on, please do not touch the natural nail with your fingers.

Step 2:

Apply the primer stick (air-dry) to the natural nail.

Step 3:

Apply a thin layer of your base gel to your nails using a gel brush , massaging it in. Then cure your nails in a UV/LED lamp .*

Clean your gel brush between different gel types with cleaner and a tissue.

* Curing time: UV or LED 2 minutes

Step4:

Apply your builder gel directly to the primed nail. Then cure the nail in a UV/LED lamp.*

Remove the sweat layer from the modeled nail with cleaner and a cellette.

* Curing time: UV lamp 2 min. or LED lamp 1 min.

Step 5:

File and smooth your nails evenly with a file. Then gently remove any minor imperfections with a buffer. Dust the nail thoroughly with a nail brush.

Step6:

Using your clean gel brush, apply two thin coats of your desired color from our color gels. After the first and second coats, cure the nail in a UV/LED lamp.*

* Curing time: UV lamp 2 minutes or UV/LED lamp 1 minute

Step7:

Apply the sealing gel evenly to the finished nails using a gel brush. Then cure the nail in a UV/LED lamp.*

Remove the condensation from the sealant gel using High-Gloss Cleaner and a tissue. With our non-sticky sealers, there's no need to remove the condensation.

* Curing time: UV lamp 2 min. or UV/LED lamp 1 min.

Alternatively, you can use our Velvet Sealing for a matt effect.

Step 8:

Care for the cuticles with nail oil as needed and your full cover nail design is FINISHED.
