How do you apply Shellac?
The emmi®NAIL UV polish is easy to apply and scratch- and impact-resistant. But how do you apply it so it lasts as long as possible? You'll find the most important tips and tricks in our clear, step-by-step instructions. Most importantly, make sure you're not exposed to sunlight during application.
Step 1:
Prepare your natural nail as usual. Push back your cuticles with a rosewood stick or metal spatula and remove excess cuticles with cuticle scissors or cuticle nippers .
File your free nail end into shape, then mattify the nail with a buffer .
Step 2:
Then, apply the UV base/top coat . It's important to cover the free end of the nail and apply the UV base/top coat in three brush strokes (center, left, right).
* Curing time: 120 seconds in UV or UV/LED curing unit
Step 3:
The first coat of Shellac serves as a base coat. Only with the second coat is the color applied opaquely, also in three brush strokes. Here, too, the exposed nail end must be coated to ensure the color lasts.
* Curing time: 120 seconds in UV unit or 60 seconds in UV/LED unit
Step4:
The varnish is then sealed with the UV varnish base/top coat. Apply it in three brush strokes, as in the previous steps.
* Curing time: 120 seconds in UV or UV/LED curing unit
Step 5:
Finally, remove the inhibition layer (= sticky sweat layer) with a cellette and our High-Gloss Cleaner .
How do you remove Shellac?
Our emmi®NAIL Shellac lasts a really long time, but at some point you'll still want a new color on your nails. We've summarized how you can easily remove your gel polish manicure in simple steps:
Variant 1:
Roughen the polish with a buffer or buffer file until it no longer shines. CAUTION: Please only roughen the polish, not the natural nail.
Soak a Remover Wrap with the Remover . Wrap the nail with the wrap and let the remover work for 8 minutes. For better hold, clamp the nail with our Remover Clips . For even easier removal, hold the nails in the light curing device while the remover is working.
* Exposure time: 8 minutes
Variant 2:
Pour some remover into a manicure bowl and dip your nails in. Let the remover work for about 3 minutes. Then, gently try to remove the polish layer with a rosewood stick. If the layer still doesn't come off, let the remover work for another minute.
Please note that you should leave the remover on for a maximum of 10 minutes.
* Exposure time: approx. 3 minutes
